This is an amazing find. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and oh so clean. Look around, the vents are clean, the glasses hanging from the glass rack above the bar are spotless, the door glass is clean. The food is a much better quality than many other places that go cheap on the quality and try to cover it up with high fructose corn syrup flavored sauces. Everything we have tried is fantastic. Have made a few repeat visits in the past couple of months and have never been disappointed. Can't wait to return.

Great place, quaint, excellent service and amazing food

I LOVE this place! The atmosphere is simple, but cool. The food is amazing! I usually get the pad thai or the yellow curry, both are fantastic!
(5)Dawn B L.
The food here is fresh and delicious. The service is fast with friendly, helpful servers. My favorite lunch place.
(5)Chelsea W.
This wasn't the worst Thai place I've ever been to but it wasn't the best either. I visited during lunchtime on a Friday and I was seated right away although I definately was not the only one in the restaurant. The servers were attentive enough so no complaints there. I ordered the Praram chicken which has the peanut sauce with it and it was just okay. The sauce itself was a lot sweeter than most other places and although I LOVE peanut sauce I honestly don't think I would order this again at this location because it was just too sweet. The prices were pretty reasonable...lunch portion was $8 I believe so it was definately cheaper than Park Ave but I just don't think I'll find another Thai place that I will like better than Orchid.
(3)Matthew J.
Humm waiting to see if the quality has gone down or up after the menu changes!
(3)Rebecca V.
Thai Place has very tasty food. I was a bit disappointed with their pad thai, but their pad se-ew and drunken noodles are very good. The prices are reasonable; the service was good; and the atmosphere was nice, but casual.

As a newcomer to truly good Thai food, I happily obliged to try this spot for a recent lunch with coworkers. We arrived at noon on a Wednesday and it was almost completely packed - always a good sign. We were seated and taken care of immediately, another good sign of a restaurant that cares about its patrons. As far as the food, Thai Place did not disappoint. I opted for the seafood and vegetables in a light brown sauce with brown jasmine rice. It was delicious albeit a little small. However, my coworkers went for the Pad Thai and the Red Curry and were served generous portions with the right amount of heat. We also sampled the steamed potstickers which packed a lot of flavor and were worth ordering. Overall, it's a quaint place with great food tucked in the shopping plaza across from Winter Park Village.

Hands Down - Best Thai Food in the area.Their Pad Thai, Drunkin Noodles, and curries are all fantastic. We've been going here for years and they are yet to disappoint. Dine in or Take out, either way you have to eat here.
(5)Ryan S.
Very good service and exceptionally delicious plate of red curry. Prices were very reasonable for the quality as well.

This restaurant is located in Winter Park in the K-Mart plaza at the intersection of Lee Rd and 17/92 Orlando Ave. (Just a few doors down from the Florida Tag agency.) I was introduced to the Thai Place over 10 years ago for having a great spicy peanut curry and am happy to report that the new (-ish) owners are still doing a great job. The large restaurant does a brisk take out business while still filling up the smaller of the two dining rooms. Service has always been prompt and attentive. If you have food allergies/dislikes, they are great about subbing ingredients out. My recent visit had me ordering take out, the Spicy Peanut Curry was peanutty and zippy, great with Tofu. My peanut curry addicted friend usually orders Chicken or Tofu, mild. Either way, the flavorful sauce includes a nice array of veggies and is SO GOOD. If you are a fan of peanut satay, try this curry. Summer Rolls are good. If you like Thai iced tea, that is good here. Since this is one of the few places around Orlando that has this yummy peanut curry (Not Massaman curry, this is more peanutty), I always order it in or take out. If someone wants to further along my love of peanut curry with another recommendation, message me!
(4)Darlene S.
We eat here often and this is the first time we've been disappointed. Service was lacking, rice was dry and both our orders were lack luster. I hope this is just an off night. We will certainly give one more chance for the food and service we are used too.
(2)Jason Y.
The chicken was undercooked and tough. I got the chicken with almonds and rice, the chicken was just terrible. It honestly had an almost raw chicken taste/smell to it. I mentioned it to the staff and they blew me off asking if I had ever had Thai food, which I have and without under cooked tough chicken. I ate maybe two or three bites and couldn't continue. The staff didn't offer a discount, a refund, or a different item due to the fact that I couldn't eat it, it cost me over $15 for something That made me feel sick. I see that this place has good reviews, so maybe the place was busy and the cook was trying to put food out too quickly but that will be my last visit to this location. Raw chicken or chicken that hasn't been fully cooked is something that I don't like the taste of it all. Because of the way the staff treated me when I had a complaint, I will never return to this Thai restaurant...ever.

Hard to find spot, in the plaza of K-Mart, small sign and will have to drive around and look for it carefully! Nice decoration and environment inside. Didn't really like what I had which was some drunken wet noodle or whatever, but I'm willing to go back to try other dishes on the menu.
(3)Thomas B.
Generous portions and good quality.
(4)Erick P.
Love it!! Can get enough!!
(5)Allan C.
I searched on line for a good Thai restaurant in the Orlando area and found that this place had really great reviews. We have been back 3 more times since our initial visit. Their food is excellent. Every single dish that we have ordered has been perfect. The service was great and prices were reasonable. The only criticism that I would have for them is that they will charge you extra if you need more rice (believe me, you will!). Also, it is not easy to find as it is located in a shopping plaza that is not facing a major road. Having said that, that is not a reflection of their food. I will certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a really good Thai meal.

we had an outstanding experience with Thai Place, 501 N Orlando Ste 319, Winter park, florida 32789. This is one of my favorite place and food i would love to eat . We had a great experience on 09/22/2012 - Saturday 9 pm to 10:05 pm EST. September 1 2012 -with my motherinlaw -also Mrs.Neelam Sinha -she loved the food as well. They treat really well. They care for customers. they all jump or take care of the services. People noted to be worthy to put a great note are: 1. Nina - part owner 2. Amy - part owner 3. Pai - Great and outstanding smiling, very caring, simple service oriented- really great and best 4. Som - who has been working now very hard- quick, sharp and wonderful. Ninas husband and Amys husband -cooks really well. This is an outstanding experience. We love this place. We had visited with our family friends Jim Perry and Nanette Withrow also -they loved this place.
(5)Kathy D.
I believe this is one of the best Thai place of Orlando. Portions are great and prices aren't too bad. Atmosphere is nice and intimate. I ordered the Fresh Hot Basil with Tofu. It was dee-lish! I've also had their Yum Nua Salad. Great. Heavy on the beef though, less on the salad. Which is a plus for some =)
(5)Celine C.
I like how this Thai restaurant gives a free salad with peanut dressing with any meal. The servers are all very nice and spoke great English. I had the Fresh Hot Basil with chicken and I asked for it to be mild and they were able to accommodate my request. It was delicious. I would definitely go back. Price is reasonable and the decor is beautiful.
(4)Amber M.
Singing "spicy, spicy spicy"....This place is no stranger to authentic thai and spice. I ordered the spring rolls and they came out fast, hot and delicious. I also ordered the drunken noodles combination. The portion was perfect and came with chicken, beef and shrimp. You will need a few glasses of water to accomodate your meal. While there were no other patrons when I was seated, the place began to fill up quickly over 30 mins. True spiciness brings tears to your eyes, this meal did just so and the flavor was not lacking.
(5)Randy M.
Fantastic, high quality Thai food. If you're looking for Pad Thai, they have one of the best, but if you are looking to be more adventurous, then you should be pleased -- lots of options. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the limited bar menu (bar, wine and sake). The food is so delicious, I don't even mind paying the "10 mile jog toll" the next day to work off the calories...it's worth it. Bonus: very reasonably priced and pleasant service staff.
(4)Chuck C.
Outstanding, authentic Thai. New owners took over in August 2010, so if you haven't eaten here in a while, you will be in for a treat. The managing partner of Thai Cuisine (which used to be one of my 2 favorite Thai restaurants in Orlando) decided to go her own way last year and bought Thai Place. She brought in a new chef, who is truly excellent. The food is very authentic and exactly like it is served in Thailand. I lived in Bangkok for 4 years, and my wife was raised in Thailand, so we know Thai food very well. There are many subtle touches that separate good Thai from really great Thai food, and this place gets it right. Their curries are perfection, they make the best Som Tam (green papaya salad) in Orlando, and the duck noodle soup is even better than at Thai House, which I didn't think was possible. This has become our favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando. Not only is the food outstanding, but the prices are cheaper than most of the competition - a great combination!
(5)Megan M.
In general, I've been pretty disappointed with most of the Thai restaurants in Orlando. But so far, Thai Place is the best I've found, and luckily it's also the closest to my house! It's in a strip mall next to a Radio Shack, and doesn't look like much from the outside. But the interior is beautiful and the service is very fast. The curries are delicious and can be spiced however you like (mild to thai hot). If you're a vegetarian like myself, then you're in luck because their tofu is fantastic. And if you're trying to be a little more health conscious, you have the option of getting brown rice instead of white rice with your meal. I'm also a fan of their mango sticky rice dessert.
(4)Anna V.
Always amazing!!! Authentic and high quality. The best green curry in town. The yellow curry, massaman, and phad thai are also must tries. If you like spicy thai like I do then they can definitely please you. I brought my friend that can't eat spicy and he was served mild dishes he loved. Don't get ballsy and order medium or hot if you can't handle heat. The new decor is beautiful. I love the heart shape molded rice serving. The staff is very friendly and remembers their customers.
(5)Tom B.
I've visited the Thai Place occasionally over the years, since I work in the area. I agree with Rayni that the simple salad with the peanut sauce is a good way to start. I've never found this to be a favorite place for Thai, but it's reliable and friendly. Lunch portions are nice - you won't be waddling out of the place unless you order multiple items. It's a generically-named restaurant with food that won't surprise, but likely won't disappoint.
(3)Holly F.
Great food, fantastic service.
(5)Peter O.
One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever enjoyed!
(5)Willa F.
I eat here frequently and they greet me by name. I love their Tom Kah Gai( Coconut milk soup) one of the most flavorful I have tasted anywhere. I have eaten a variety of dishes here and have not been disappointed. I love their basil sauce and I love the way they prepare their tilapia or chicken with the basil sauce. Really great service and I understand they even have Thai dancing some nights. I love Thai and Orlando has some nice Thai fare. Put this one at or near the top of the list. As usual, there are certain dishes, I either like better or they don't have here that they have somewhere else. But this will always be one of my go to places along with Thai House.
(5)Hope R.
This has become my favorite Thai restaurant in the Winter Park area. Prices are very reasonable and the food is fantastic. The tom kah gai chicken soup is amazing and I always enjoy the pad woonsen. Fantastic desert menu to indulge in! Great place for lunch - but get there a little before noon before they get too busy. Have had take out from here as well and it is always fast and delicious!
(4)Helen R.
This is located in a strip center off Lee Rd. It seems unimpressive from the outside, but is nicely decorated inside and the food is pretty good. I was introduced to this place by a friend, who brought the pad thai and red curry as her small plate contribution to a wine party I recently attended. This is now one of my go-tos for Thai takeout! I've also had lunch here several times - the shrimp and eggplant is very tasty as are the drunken noodles. They also feature Thai dancing on certain nights- I haven't gone yet but look forward to it- the hostess explained it is very authentic and something worth checking out.
(3)Lisa B.
I've visited this restaurant many times and almost always order the same thing (Crab Fried Rice) because it's so darned good I can't bear the thought of not having it. They put huge amounts of fresh, sweet crab into this dish and you can get it as mild or as hot as you want. It's light and fluffy, not oily as some friend rice dishes can be. I love the little salad they start you off - such a delicious peanut dressing. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and will gladly explain any unfamiliar menu items. The rstaurant is nicely decorated and is thankfully serenely quiet. A Great choice for lunch or dinner
(5)Rayni K.
I've only been to Thai Place about 4 times, but the subsequent times after the first were due to friends wanting to go there and I was outnumbered. Personally, Thai Place would not be in my list of choices if I was craving Thai food that day. One of the few good things about Thai Place is the free salad with peanut dressing that they give everyone as appetizer. It's your basic lettuce and tomatoes (and maybe some other vegetables), but the peanut sauce is pretty good. The tastiest dish that I've had from them has been the Hot & Sweet Chili Sauce with Chicken. The others that I've tried has generally been more bland than tasty, or cooked in very undesirable ways. Their Pad Thai is one of the worst I've ever tasted, and I've been to quite a few Thai restaurants in my lifetime. The spices that they used tasted strange and the noodles were very, very overcooked. Their service is usually pretty good. And if they realize that their service that day isn't as good as usual, they will most likely compensate in other ways (perhaps a discount on your next visit). If their food becomes as good as their service, they could most likely become one of the best Thai restaurants in the Orlando area.

I've driven past this place a hundred times because I often go to the produce market on the other side of the parking lot, and just never thought to go into this very nondescript restaurant -- in fact I barely even realized that it's a Thai restaurant until recently! Luckily, my husband went there for lunch with a coworker and really enjoyed it so this past weekend, he brought me for lunch too. The inside is decorated nicely, and if you compare it with most other Asian restaurants, it's almost fancy! The staff is very friendly and helpful, so that's another huge plus. We started with chicken satay and they give you nice big pieces of juicy and flavorful chicken... I want to know how they get it to stay so juicy! The peanut sauce was a little on the sweet side for me, but I didn't even need it because the satay was so good on its own. They give you a salad with your lunch order, so I got to try the peanut sauce on iceberg lettuce and carrot strings, which was not too bad. My husband had the yellow curry with soft shell crab. He ordered it "hot," which had some heat but wasn't too spicy, so next time he's going to try "Thai hot." He enjoyed the dish and I got to try a little and thought it was better than Sea Thai. Don't ask my why I ordered this at a Thai, but I was just in the mood for beef and broccoli, so I got it. The sauce was good, the broccoli was overcooked a bit (but they seem to do that at every restaurant), and the beef left something to be desired. Most of the pieces were tender, but at least half of it had a tough tendon or something running through it that made it extremely chewy (not good for someone that has TMJ, like me!). My husband also had the Thai tea, which he thoroughly enjoyed, but we were both stuffed from lunch and didn't order dessert. Overall, the prices are very reasonable, the food is good, and the service is fast and friendly, so I will definitely be returning. Tip: They offer $10 off your bill of $25 or more plus free dessert on your birthday! =)
(4)Nathan A.
I've been here once on a date. We had a few appetizers and soup. My spicy shrimp soup was way too salty, and I couldn't eat it. I would likely avoid coming back here.
(2)John S.
Beef noodle soup was absolutely amazing. Amazing! The best Thai bowl I've ever had since an infant.
(5)Cherry J.
The golden era of Thai Place was 2004-2006. Back then, it would have gotten five stars from me; it also won numerous awards those years, including best Thai in Orlando. I was so addicted at that point that the owner knew me by name, and my regular order by heart. The new owners nearly replicate the exact same menu and recipes... but something is off. It is just a little bland in comparison to before. They used to have the BEST peanut curry in town, a very unique and awesome recipe. It is pretty obvious that what they are serving now is some version of the previous recipe, but now it's kind of soupy texture and gross flavor. I plan on giving it another try soon and maybe rediscovering an old favorite, but from the looks of the current reviews I'm not expecting much.
(3)John S.
The Thai Place has been a family favorite for many years, The original owner sold several years ago and we went away but returned recently to a wonderful experience. The place is spotlessly clean with tasteful decor. They have very good service, excellent Thai fare for very reasonable prices. The wonderful Chang beer towers are a nice touch and you get treated with a huge discount if it is your Birthday Month. They also have Thai dancers to entertain you on weekend nights. FIVE out of FIVE thumbs up from a local Winter Park Family!
(4)Amy P.
This is my go-to place for Thai food. It's cozy and quaint and the food is to die for. The yellow curry and peanut curry are probably my favorite dishes and the pad-thai is also really good.
(5)Sherri M.
Thai Place is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I have lunch at least one a week and dinner a couple of times a month here. Always awesome! The staff is super friendly, the service pretty good, the food is great, and the prices are reasonable. They do a great job whether it's take-out for one or sit-down for twenty. And they know the meaning of "Thai hot!"
(5)Katie F.
Stopped in for lunch last week and ordered the pad Thai. Great flavors, good mix of veggies, chewy noodles, and shrimp. The medium was not nearly spicy enough so if I go back I will order hot. I would have given a higher rating but I was not happy with our waitress not returning to the table to check on us after we got our food. I would have liked a spice tray and we all were out of water for most of our meal. In addition, the menu food descriptions include meat with the price, but the sections have different prices that make it confusing. My example was that the pad Thai has shrimp and chicken in the description and next to it has $7.95. Above the noodle and rice section it has that meat combination for $8.95. I only wanted shrimp and ended up being charged $9.25, which they brought down to $8.95, but I felt that the $7.95 on the menu next to the item I ordered should have been the final price. Good food, but the service needs work.
(3)Rob B.
Food and service was great the three times that I have been there.
(4)Lailah G.
I came here looking for a particular dish, but they didn't have the main ingredient. So the waitress offered me Nam Sod, which is fairly close to what I was looking for, but without the carbs. ;) Nam sod had lettuce and ground chicken marinated in lime juice and something.... I don't really know, but it's good! :D Their thai noodle soup was good, but I think it needed a little more flavor. Anyway, great food & service.
(5)Jason H.
Amazing food , real Thai cooks ! Cooking real Thai food Like what else can I say yelp say it's too short so here's the long version Great food
(5)Betzy ..
Excellent food. Went for lunch had the Tofu in peanut curry and it was a hit. My son and his fiancé had a different dish and that also was very good. Good service and good prices. Would go again and I recommend this restaurant anytime.
(5)Keith S.
Best Thai food in town. Don't forget the summer rolls and peanut curry. Pad Thai is one of the best I've had. Service is fantastic. Definitely my "go to" Thai joint
(5)Sya N.
I think the best dish this evening was the salad. I had the pad thai but I did not get a picture of it as I waited 5 minutes after everyone received their food. The pad thai was way too sweet for my preference. The beef and broccoli my friend ordered and the chicken onion looked great but something I can make at home. The service was great but not a lot of interactions.
(3)Brian H.
Went for lunch and had the food delivered in a crazy fast time. When I compare other Thai places to this one thing I could say are the portions are smaller than average. The food itself was just average to me. Drunken noodles were bland and not spicy when ordered hot. Even if they made it hot it would still be a 3 star place. With all the options out here I would be hard pressed to venture to this place again.
(3)Lauren P.
Came here for lunch and it was ok. The lunch menu isn't as cheap as Other Thai places. My peanut curry was good. The brown rice was amazing...very buttery and soft. My boyfriends drunken noodles was small and not too flavorful (despite ordering it hot). My meal was a 4, his a 2, hence the 3 star review.
(3)Merl P.
I had the combo Pad Thai. It simply did not taste like the Pad Thai I've had many times in many other Thai restaurants. This Pad Thai seemed to have a tomato flavor (?). Also the salad had an unfamiliar dressing not the usual delicious ginger dressing most Thai restaurants serve. Overall I was disappointed.
(2)Bridgette D.
Seriously, if you're looking for delicious thai food with amazing service this place never disappoints. Where to start? Their pricing is really modest, their portions are solid and their food is always fresh, tender and flavorful. This spot is cute, quiet, low key and while it tends to get busier later towards 8pm, the early dinner crowd can dine in a really peaceful atmosphere from 5-7:30. I have become a regular here, the restaurant is always clean. I love ordering the wanton soup, the broth is full of so much flavor. Their crab fried rice or any of their curry dishes are my personal favorites. Also the hot sake makes a good touch. I usually manage to pay only $21 for my soup, house ginger salad, entree, sake and Thai Tea. Even then, sometimes I have a little leftover. The ambiance is also perfect for a business meeting or a date.
(5)Kimberly S.
They never disappoint! The food is always delicious and fresh, and the service is always fast. I can honestly say I've never had a meal that wasn't great. My favorite is the sweet chili chicken. The cucumber salad is simple but I always get it! The place is always clean, especially their restrooms, which I find very important. I recommend this place to everyone.
(5)Andi P.
My first experience with this Thai place was just a little 'meh.' There are so many outstanding Thai food restaurants in Orlando that I feel like this one just didn't stand out. I shared an order of shrimp summer rolls to start. The dish comes with two rolls and peanut sauce. The sauce was not the regular peanut sauce I am used to, but it also wasn't that terrible bland prepackaged sauce I've gotten at some really bad Thai places. The rice paper was a bit thicker than I like, but they had a great big piece of basil that elevated it. For my main course I ordered the Massaman Curry (mild) and I enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away (and I was pretty hungry at the time, so that was surprising...). I had enough for leftovers which always makes me happy though! The dish came with a simple side salad with ginger dressing which was a great touch (a lot of places have this available at an additional cost). Finally, I ordered a ginger hot tea. It was wonderfully spicy and was the perfect way to end the meal! But, I was a little bummed that this tea stood out to me more than the food. tl;dr - Pretty good, not that memorable. I'd like to try again and order outside of my go-to dishes.
(3)Wendy B.
My new favorite Thai. Perfectly balanced flavored, incredible service snd nice ambiance
(4)Joe O.
These guys helped me find my happy place with Thai food, consistently the same great quality and service. I've been there about 20 times and never had my order messed up or late. I've had better pad thai around town, but the curry here is the hero and cannot be compared with others I've tried. There are some Thai food nuts out there ( I'm guessing ) that may think it's run of the mill, but it's a hard food to cook with lots of spices and ingredients and they do it consistent and proper.
(4)Kathy K.
OK hands down- this has to the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Of course I've been coming here since my days at Jewett Orthopaedics 2007. I can not say enough great things about this place. The service is amazing- everyone is always so lovely. I usually order my summer rolls & Peanut curry medium or Pad Thai hot, and they're always served to perfection. Last night I treated the folks. My dad ordered the spring rolls, tom yum gai soup & pad thai w/ pork thai hot. He absolutely loved his dinner. Mom ordered pot stickers (steamed), won ton soup & peanut curry mild w/ brown rice. She was impressed that she ate so much and didn't feel bloated lol. They even had room for dessert- so we ordered the coconut ice cream. The presentation was awesome- it was served it in a martini glass. Must have taken us like 10min (between the 3 of us) to eat this!! It was a never ending martini glass of ice cream lol. Thai Place will always get an enthusiastically thumbs up from the Kahn clan.
(5)Lindsay Q.
We started with the Thai tea, which was surprisingly refreshing. We then ventured to have the wonton soup. It was warm for the rainy day, nothing spectacular. The red coconut curry was excellent. The coconut was evident amongst the other flavors. The pork and beef were also very tender and delicious. The ginger chicken was also amazing. The ginger stood out flavor wise, but was not too spicy. The house sauce was lightly sweet with savory tones. Overall, I would venture to come back for the curry and ginger dishes.
(4)Aziza A.
Service was GREAT in this deceptively large Thai restaurant! Everyone seemed smiley and attentive; two servers came over and tried to shut the blinds because they noticed the sun in our eyes (we preferred them open to keep an eye on our car since we just purchased a new road bike moments before!).The cream cheese rangoons and summer rolls were delicious and plentiful appetizers for the price. I had chicken pad Thai which was $10.95 for dinner and my date had the pad see ew with beef. Both were delicious and the pad Thai here has a sweeter sauce than I've experienced before. Ask for the spice/sauce rack that comes with a tub of crushed peanuts, a red sauce, and chili powder. I put the red sauce on everything for a little kick and increased flavor! There was a little something wrong with my dates food, but not enough to send it back and the server must have mentioned it to another employee because someone else came out and brought us donuts and apologized! We were so surprised we said "oh those aren't for us" and they were! So sweet and such a great little touch to make up for something that wasn't a huge deal. We will be back!
(5)Kara O.
Enjoyed the food very much! It was my first time having Thai food. I was with a group, so I was able to try a few things. The tempura veggie appetizer was great! I loved the broccoli. And the soup I ordered was awesome. I could probably go and just grab an app and soup and be happy! The Tom Kah Gai is awesomesauce. The servers were also knowledgable and helpful.
(5)Kalvin K.
Yelp led me in the right direction here. I stopped by after seeing the line at 4R. It's in an older shopping plaza but the food was amazing. I ordered the lunch special of the crab fried rice and summer rolls to start off. Both were cooked to deliciousness. Highly recommend trying out this place if you have a chance!
(5)Allyson B.
Can't say that I'm impressed with the menu or the food. After a few visits, I have to agree with Andi P. and say "meh." My friend and I shared the Combo Appetizers. It comes with 2 crispy spring rolls, 3 pot stickers, and 3 coconut shrimp served with plum sauce. Nothing special about the spring rolls and the pot stickers were unfortunately soggy on the inside from being frozen. The coconut shrimp however were yummy!! They were crispy and flavorful. For the main course we shared the Sizzling Beef (Thai Steak House) and the Mussaman curry. Honestly, I can't say that I'm impressed with the Sizzling Beef. Essentially, it reminded me of a steak fajita with green bell peppers and onions sans tortilla. I did however like the Mussaman curry. It wasn't the best but it was tasty. I think Thai Place is pretty alright. It's not my favorite but the food is still good.
(3)Thalita S.
This is truly my favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando. The service is always excellent and the staff are very friendly. We dine-in and do take-out often and it's always amazing. My favorites here are the coconut chicken soup and the combination red curry. Both order Thai hot!
(5)Amanda G.
First Thai place in Orlando that I have been to so o can't compare it to other local Thai restaurants. It's in a strip mall, but that shouldn't stop you! The chicken pad Thai is pretty good, but I have had better. The red curry was awesome!! We got medium spice on both items and that is good for the person who likes heat but not over powering! Their peanut dressing is good on the little salad they give you upon ordering. The service was very attentive and you didn't really need to ask for anything cause they were on top of it! Overall the food was good and I will be going back when I am in the area!

This is probably the best Thai I've had since I've moved back to Orlando. It isn't the best I've ever had but it's good. I ordered drunken noodles and my husband got pad thai. I know pad thai is sweet but in my opinion it was too sweet. The drunken noodles were good but it was missing the key ingredient I'm used to seeing in this dish- tomatoes! Still good though. Skip the Thai iced tea as it was far too sweet.

Not the absolutely best that I've ever eaten in. But good enough that I'm never disappointed. I return regularly. Great prices too.

Excellent takeout experience, very accommodating and friendly staff as well.

The food is SOOO good!!! Decent portions, average price. The dining room is small and the waiting area is dinky! However, their doing something right because I crave their food every time I am even remotely close to their area!

My nieces had been raving about this restaurant for some time. We happened to be in the area today and stopped in. What a happy surprise! I finally found a great Thai restaurant fairly close to home. I had won ton soup and chicken cashew. My nieces had chicken satay and a noodle dish. Everything was delicious. Service was very fast and courteous. Made my day! Check it out.

The food is really yummy. The service was great and the staff was really friendly. The restaurant was also won best Thai restaurant in orlando region and it really deserves it.

Going 5 stars on this one folks. Prices are extremely reasonable. Food is hot, fresh and plenty of it. Quiet place with very attentive staff. So many things i want to try. Many varieties of curry dishes and noodles dishes. I am no expert in Thai food however I don't think you need to be if the flavor and freshness is there. We will definitely be back and if you are nearby you should check it out. I believe that you won't be disappointed.

I've never had Thai food before but this place has made me a fan! Their presentation of food is fantastic and it tastes delicious. The server was so sweet, very understand that we were scared to try anything too spicy and gave us great recommendations. I can't wait to go back!

Amazingly fresh flavors. This unassuming establishment is a true diamond in the rough. Try the Garlic Pepper Beef. It is incredible. The simple won-ton soup is even made better here. Service is spot on. When I want to impress out of towners. This is the place where I bring them..

Best Thai in Orlando. There are a lot of choices that are more expensive but the great service and always tasty food has me coming back for more at least 2-3 times a month. Great location and easy to get to if you're in the Winter Park area.

There are about 4 Thai restaurants that are within 2 minutes from me. This was the only one that I had not tried up until recently. The location is tucked away inside the Kmart shopping plaza across from Winter Park Village and faces the inside of the plaza so it isn't easy to locate from the street. We finally tried this place out and it was ok. Definitely not my first choice for Thai. It seems to have a following with the Senior crowd. Lots of older couples were there around the time we dined there. I'm wondering if its been in the area awhile...kinda like the Thai food version of Paco's?! :) Anyways we went with the combination appetizer platter which seemed like a good deal. The coconut shrimp was good. The potstickers were overdone and "crunchy". The egg rolls were not cut and just plopped on the plate. There was no thought when it came to the presentation. I had the Tom yum goong soup. I asked for medium spicy, it was spicy. So what was the point in asking me what kind of heat I wanted. I went with the pad Thai which comes with shrimp and chicken. It was good but nothing that knocked me off my feet. Service was the bare minimum . We don't expect a lot in terms of service but acknowledgement during our meal would be nice, It's a decent spot but not sure we will return when we enjoy other restaurants in the area so much more.

I'm on first-name status with the staff here, since I live across the street and stop in regularly. The masaman is outstanding, as are all of the coconut curry dishes. Everything is made to order and they'll customize any dish on request. When a dish is ordered "Thai hot" they hook it up really nicely. Excellent service, a nice atmosphere and truly great Thai food.

Don't be afraid due to the strip mall location. The inside of the restaurant is relaxing and authentic and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Yellow Curry and Pad See Ew were amazing. I miss the Thai restaurants in California and Thai Place is the best I've experienced in the Winter Park area.

Got green curry chicken (hot), pad thai chicken and the summer rolls for lunch. Quick pleasant service. Food very good, though their hot is more medium for most other restaurants. Would go back.

Ordered carry out, food was ready upon arrival. I was checked out immediately. The food was hot and tasted fresh. Portion size for lunch was on the smaller size. Thai Tea was a bit to sweet for my taste. However, once ice melted it tasted better. Overall, good place to order out..I haven't had the pleasure to dine in, yet...

This is the best Thai in Winter Park, and the best I've had in the Orlando area. I usually have the red curry chicken or peanut curry - Thai Hot. My daughters favorite is the big green salad with peanut dressing. She's loved it since she was 3 years old. Try the spring rolls and pot stickers on the appetizer menu. They have something for everyone, enjoy!

Great food, nice dining area and wonder staff. I have ordered in and carried out many times. They understand that many if their guests are returning to work, without pushing you out the door they tend to you needs quickly. I have yet to have a dissatisfying experience. It's a must have again and again!

OK. This is the fastest serving restaurant ever. HANDS DOWN. We went in on a whim to get some dinner. It was fairly packed and we found a seat quickly. By the time we had our butts in the seat, water and noodles were on the table. A waitress came up and asked us if we needed more time. We took a few minutes to look over the menu, then as soon as we set our menus down she was back taking our order. After she left I saw her motion the helper to bring soup and salad. We had only been sitting for 4-5 minutes and we had food in front of us. As soon as we emptied our water, some one came and gave us more water and removed our salad plate and soup bowl. A minute later our main dishes were in front of us. My dish was Pad See Ew or Pad Si Io which chicken and a spring roll. It was perfect and the spring roll was crispy and hot. Over all we had our meals for under $10 each and we were out the door in 20 minutes. I love coming back when I'm in Winter Park. Always A+'s in my book.

Great Thai! I have not found one in the Orlando area to match it and will drive about 20 minutes to get there when in the mood for Thai (I have places closer to me, but not nearly as good). Very fond of the peanut and yellow curry dishes as well as the Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. Simple but nice atmosphere and service.
